Lagos, Nigeria – In a shocking and candid admission which has sent the social media into shock, Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye alias Bobrisky, has made a bold admission of losing his virginity and impregnating a woman while studying for an undergraduate degree at the prestigious University of Lagos (UNILAG).
The divisive social media personality spilled the dramatic news in a recent Instagram Live, mesmerizing thousands of fans with a tale that delved into his past and exposed a secret page in his life.

Bobrisky, one who has never been afraid to be himself and whose words are oftentimes fire-branded, made known that the woman in question was a classmate of his at UNILAG by the name of Lamide. It was Lamide, as recounted by Bobrisky, to whom he made the amorous advance that would alter his life forever.
“Night,” Bobrisky began, setting the stage for the riveting story, “we were waiting to see who would touch each other first.” He set a scene of teenager awkwardness, him at the wall and Lamide facing him. “I was shy because I did not know where to start from; I did not know what to do,” he confessed.

Lamide was the initiator, breaking the initial ice and having physical contact as narrated by Bobrisky. “She started caressing me and we did it in the end; that was the first time and the sole occasion I made love to a female,” he stated, explaining how significant this encounter was to him.
The story took a dramatic turn when Bobrisky recounted what happened on Valentine’s Day. He said Lamide showered him with gifts – singlets, underwear, and school handouts – before dropping the bombshell: “Bob, I am pregnant.”

Bobrisky’s reaction was one of shock and panic. “Pregnant how? How did you do it?” he wailed, recalling his entreaties to Lamide. “Aunty, I am just a very young boy, I just entered 200 level. Please do not ruin my life.”
Faced with the daunting prospect of impending fatherhood, Bobrisky admitted that he begged Lamide to “find a solution” to the pregnancy. “I told her we had to find a solution because I was not ready,” he explained. He repeated that at that point, he was still trying to determine his own identity and hadn’t yet become completely comfortable as Bobrisky.
“She understood that I was somewhat feminine but not this feminine,” he described, continuing that he did not understand why Lamide would want to date him, given his gender expression. “I do not know maybe she liked me because I was feminine; I could not really figure it out.”
Lamide, however, remained resolute in her decision to keep the pregnancy, leading to a breakdown in communication and escalating tensions between the two students. “She insisted that she would give birth and started insulting me,” Bobrisky recounted. “She brought out the female in me, and I, too, started throwing insults at her.”

The case went from bad to worse when Lamide reported Bobrisky to his male friends, who physically confronted him in a demeaning and threatening way.
“She went to report me to a guy, I don’t know that part in detail,” Bobrisky disclosed. “So I was on my way back to my hostel one day, the guy just told me to come with him, seven of them. That is how they took me and brought me to lock me in a little room and told me to kneel there.”
He described the fear and desperation that overcame him as he knelt before the group, threatened and charged. “They asked me if I knew the girl, she was named Lamide, very short girl like this,” he said, adding that Lamide herself was present during the fight. “She was like she said she would sort me out, that I was insulting her, and I told her to shut up.”
Bobrisky’s admission has raised a lot of questions that were not answered, including the fate of Lamide and the child she allegedly bore. The crossdresser failed to provide additional details about what happened after the fight or how the experience would impact his life in the long term.
However, the story offers a glimpse into the childhood of a personality who is today a symbol of gender expression and fluidity in Nigeria. The story highlights the issues and complexities Bobrisky faced in establishing his identity and sexuality growing up in a society that is susceptible to resistance against deviance.

Regardless of the discordant reaction, however, the news has undoubtedly cemented Bobrisky’s reputation as a personality who continues to challenge boundaries and raise questions regarding gender, sexuality, and identity in Nigeria.
