One Sheriffo Sanneh, a suspected thief, was arrested in a soakaway after attempting to flee after allegedly stealing in a house in Busumbala, Gambia. The incident occurred when Sanneh, in his eagerness to flee, accidentally fell into an exposed soakaway. Saidou Cham, a resident, was taken aback by finding the thief in the soakaway and immediately notified the police. The police were alerted, and the fire department responded in an instant to rescue the trapped suspect. Sanneh’s bizarre arrest has made local headlines as authorities continue on the case of the robbery.
